Paint - what are the chances of us both having tattoos in latin? Seriously? No wonder we're friends. :D It is one of the most difficult things I can think of to recognize fear as a friend, but oh-so-beneficial. Realistically, once you conquer your fear of fear, what other limitations are there??? I strive for THAT.

I forgot a huge part of what I wanted to say, eek! There's a huge move toward Positive oriented Psychology at the moment, in all areas of the field. It confirms what that quote you mentioned says, and there are some really amazing things coming out of this research such as how to train yourself to be more hardy and to have better coping skills for stress.

Imagine me blushing bright red here! Thanks for the shout-outs and comments my darling, that was very sweet! I'm working on a fun photomanipulation of a Monet with my best friend's dog worked into one of his famous paintings for her for Christmas. Art is my sanity! I always forget how much it means to me until I don't do it for a while.

I also like the click through on the newsletter. Great job on AGTV too, you've done really well with it all! There's a lot more possible advice for keeping fitness going in the winter too beyond the one quote. I mean - change your routine to something warmer, more feasible during stress and travel, etc.

<3 you.

I love the fear commentary in SoS 7. It makes me think perhaps my latin tattoo should be Befriend your fear instead of Defy your fear.....

Work-family and just work-life stress is one of the areas of research my field is primarily concerned with. The general advice from about.com is good advice, but #1 it's important for everyone (even the single people) to remember to connect to people outside of work. People need other people, and the support they have outside of and at work often mitigates the stress their job may cause them - resulting in less health concerns and more happiness.

Hey Cali! Yeah, I know the sodium is a whopper, but hey, compared to a REAL pizza, well, it doesn't look so bad! :D Thanks for the awesome links to more info on the Do Not Mail business. Always helpful to see the options! (Between you and me, I like clicking the link too, cuz I like the pretty version!)

Those pita dippers, ... wow! All your stuff is so easy and yet super healthy and delectable. I'm going to have to search for ingredients with less sodium, though, as 1100 mg is well,... yikes!

As far as the National Do Not Mail Registry,... I work for a company that helps non profits with their direct mail marketing campaigns. (Read: I am part of the industry that basically is the reason for the targeted charitable requests that you receive. There's also the for-profit sector which is where the catalog offers and the like come from...) There already is a list, by the way, that you can get on if you don't want to receive any offers and it's less restrictive than the Do Not Mail bills that are being proposed in numerous states: https://www.dmachoice.org/.

But In the interest in full disclosure on the National Do Not Mail Registry issue, here is a link to the other side of the story: http://www.the-dma.org/mailmovesamerica/

And I like clicking the link to read your newsletter by the way.

The recipe for this week... I can already tell it's going to be a winner! Pesto is one of my all time favorite sauces. Never really thought about adding tomatoes,... but yeah, that would really enhance the whole dish. It's funny too, because as I was reading your recipe I was thinking that some chicken sautéed in a pan with, oh three cloves of garlic (we *love* garlic at my house =) would make this dish over-the-top good. (Plus I have just been craving lean protein (chicken and fish) like you wouldn't believe lately.) And then I looked at your notes in the bottom and you mentioned chicken and garlic. Ha! The pine nuts I did not think about, but OMG, yes! Totally going to add those in too. I love to cook complicated dishes, but the simple ones that only taste complex are even better! Keep 'em coming!!

Cali - Thanks for bringing up the point about the toxins leeching into the food. I was going to talk about that, but since I had already gone on a rampage about it in How To Be An Average Goddess (www.averagegoddess-freebook.com), I didn't want to beat the dead horse. It's hard to know where the line is between saying something enough times that people go "Ok, I'll stop doing that," versus rolling their eyes and waiting for me to move on. =P So thanks for doing it for me!!
