What does it mean to be a woman who “wants it ALL?”
In their daily lives, most modern women accomplish a list of tasks so complex and varied, it would leave the pentagon shaking it’s head in amazement. For many, they consider the day a success when most of the items are crossed off the to-do list, and there were no major crises. But is that enough for YOU?
20th Century Sexism
One of my friends on Twitter posted this link, and it made my blood boil. It’s a sexist rejection letter from Disney studios, from 1938. I know, I know… I shouldn’t let a 70-year-old piece of nonsense get my panties in a twist, but it did. You wanna know what really put me over the edge? It was written by A WOMAN!! Wowza. As my friend so aptly stated, yay for progress! … but I’m still irritated. Maybe it’s the Snow White themed paper that makes me just want to punch someone. “I’m sorry we can’t hire you, what with you being a woman and all, but here are some nice birds you can sing to.” Ok, I think I’m fine. Maybe. Leave me your comments when you’re done steaming!

Getting Back on the Exercise Wagon
When bumping and lurching down the Oregon Trail to the promised land of fitness, most people are bound to fall off the wagon at some point. The difference between those who find themselves on the healthier coast and those who end up settling for the somewhat less satisfying prairie middle ground is knowing how to get back on! Fitness shouldn’t be a battle between your mind and your body, but rather a cooperative effort. If you’ve fallen off (again), here’s the way to halt the wild horses long enough to grab the reins.
How do you know if you’re “following your passion?”
Lately, the phrase “follow your passion,” is one that gets thrown around quite a bit, but the response that often draws from people is, “How do I know what my passion IS?” While that’s a question no one can answer but you, there are clues you can look for. I was just reflecting on this past weekend, and how fast it flew by. Of course everyone knows that “time flies when you’re having fun,” but what if I told you that I had just completed two 12-14 hour work days, and was only wishing I had time for more??

Body Clearing – A Healing Technique
I recently read a blog by a witty and charming online goddess friend of mine, where she had an absolutely delightful conversation with her LBP, or Lower Belly Pooch. Over the course of this conversation, she not only comes to terms with this portion of her anatomy, but discovers that it wasn’t truly LBP who was at fault, but rather an error in her thinking. If you study any of the successful practitioners of the laws of the universe, you will find them all in agreement that one of the most necessary (and often challenging) steps to achieving the life of your dreams is to “get clear.”
Yes, you DESERVE to look good!
It is time for you to come to terms with the fact that your appearance is important. I might go so far as to call it critical. I’m not talking about societal standards, magazine airbrushing, or mandatory anorexia. I’m talking about recognizing, and displaying with pride the value of YOU. You see, women have a unique weapon in this jungle of survival of the fittest, and it’s one that men can’t ever touch.
